Carla Brooks has a diverse work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Carla has held various roles at different companies, including Blueprint Medicines, United Therapeutics Corporation, AstraZeneca, MedImmune, and Strategic Diagnostics, Inc.

At Blueprint Medicines, Carla worked as the Vice President, Head of Global Regulatory Sciences - Operations, overseeing regulatory operations, project management, medical writing, and advertising. Carla was responsible for supporting program objectives, regulatory submissions, and interactions with global health authorities.

Prior to this, Carla served as the Senior Director, Head of Global Regulatory Sciences Advertising, Labeling & Promotion at Blueprint Medicines, where they provided strategic guidance for advertising and promotion programs for oncology and rare disease portfolios.

At United Therapeutics Corporation, Carla held the position of Sr. Director, Compliance Monitoring, Auditing & Investigations. Carla oversaw monitoring, auditing, and investigations processes, and developed and implemented corrective action plans.

Before that, at AstraZeneca, Carla worked as the US Compliance Director, Market Access & Government Affairs, focusing on compliance risk management, policy guidance, and effective business implementation. Carla also held the role of Director, Promotional Regulatory Affairs, overseeing promotional activities for lung cancer drugs.

Carla's work experience also includes roles at MedImmune, where they served as the Senior Manager Regulatory Affairs, Ad/Promo, and Strategic Diagnostics, Inc., where they were a QA/QC Scientist.

Throughout their career, Carla has gained extensive experience in regulatory affairs, compliance, and advertising and promotion in the pharmaceutical industry.

Carla Brooks earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Morgan State University in the years 1995-2000. Carla later pursued a Master of Science degree in Biotechnology from The Johns Hopkins University, completing it in the years 2004-2006. Carla has also obtained additional certifications in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace from the University of South Florida Muma College of Business and also has certifications in Healthcare Compliance and Regulatory Affairs.
