Mark Trone

Mark Trone has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Mark is currently the Vice President of Formulation Sciences at Blueprint Medicines, where they lead the Pre-formulation and Formulation development functions and contributes to the overall drug development strategy. Prior to this, they held various senior director roles at Blueprint Medicines and was responsible for leading the Analytical Development and Quality Control departments. Before joining Blueprint Medicines, Mark worked at Alkermes as the Director of Analytical Development, where they provided strategic and technical leadership. Mark also worked at Millennium Pharmaceuticals, GlaxoSmithKline, Merck & Co., and GlaxoWellcome in different research and analytical roles. Mark has a strong background in drug substance and drug product development, as well as cross-functional leadership and regulatory expertise.

Mark Trone holds a PhD in Chemistry (Analytical) from North Carolina State University. Prior to that, they obtained a BS degree in Chemistry from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
