Mikael Rinne has extensive work experience in the medical field. Mikael is currently the Vice President of Clinical Development at Blueprint Medicines since November 2021. Prior to this role, they worked as a Neuro-Oncologist at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute from July 2011 to October 2023. Mikael also served as an Instructor in Neurology at Harvard Medical School during the same period. In addition, Mikael Rinne worked at Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research (NIBR) as a Senior Medical Director and Clinical Program Leader in Translational Clinical Oncology from April 2019 to November 2021, and as a Medical Director and Clinical Program Leader from October 2016 to April 2019. Mikael was a Postdoctoral Fellow at The Broad Institute from September 2011 to September 2016. Mikael Rinne also gained experience as a Neuro-Oncology Fellow at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute - Massachusetts General Hospital - Harvard Medical School from July 2010 to July 2011, and as a Chief Resident and Neurology Resident at Massachusetts General Hospital - Brigham and Women's Hospital - Harvard Medical School from July 2007 to July 2010.
Mikael Rinne obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biochemistry from Brigham Young University from 1992 to 1995. Afterwards, they attended Indiana University School of Medicine, where they studied Medicine from 1998 to 2006 and earned a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree. Additionally, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Molecular Biology from the same institution during the same time frame.
