Habib Akouri

Habib Akouri is an experienced educator and leader with a strong background in neuroscience and community service. Currently serving as an MCAT Tutor at Blueprint Test Prep, Habib develops customized study plans and provides academic support to students. As an undergraduate research assistant at The Ohio State University College of Arts and Sciences, research focuses on the effects of maternal allergic challenges on neuroimmune development and social behavior. Habib has also held roles as a teaching assistant in chemistry and as a research lead for Engineers Without Borders, where proactive involvement resulted in the creation of tactile stimulation devices. As the founder and president of the Columbus Community Host Group, Habib successfully coordinated free healthcare initiatives, raising significant funds and providing care to hundreds of patients. Additionally, leadership as the Ohio State Chapter President of Remote Area Medical involved organizing clinic trips to address health inequities. Habib will continue studies at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, pursuing a Doctor of Medicine degree.
