Brian Collier PhD MBA

Brian Collier, Ph.D., MBA has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Brian is currently the SVP & Executive Portfolio Director at Blueriver, where they oversee portfolio management. Prior to this, they served as a Strategic Advisor at both upend digital and Chekable. In 2018, Brian founded thePhDPivot, a mentorship platform for Ph.D. students. Brian also worked as the Vice President of Digital Strategy & Transformation Practice Leader at Trianz from 2021 to 2022. Before that, they were a Partner at Wipro Limited, leading the West Coast Practice for Digital Consulting. Brian has also held roles such as Executive Advisor at The Future Strategy Club and was the Founder & Managing Director of Colliance Consultancy, providing strategy and transformational change management solutions. Brian gained experience in the banking industry as a Digital Transformation and Digital Customer Experience Lead, Head of Digital & Design, and Head of Digital Channel Performance at Lloyds Banking Group. Prior to that, Brian served as the Chief Operations Officer at Sesmos Ltd., a start-up venture focused on digital drug discovery.

Brian Collier has an extensive education history. Brian obtained their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Biochemistry from Technological University Dublin in the years 1992 to 1996. Following this, they pursued their Master of Science (MS) degree in Medical Virology/Molecular Biology from Uppsala University, attending from 1997 to 1998. Simultaneously, they undertook their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Molecular Virology/Molecular Biology at Uppsala University from 1997 to 2002.

In 2013, Brian enrolled at The Open University Business School and completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in 2016, specializing in Business Administration.

Furthermore, Brian Collier has obtained additional certifications in PRINCE2 Project Management. Brian completed the PRINCE2 Project Management - Foundation from APMG-International in March 2014, and the PRINCE2 Project Management - Practitioner from the same institution in the same month and year.
