Matthew Maher

Principal Engineer at BlueRock Therapeutics

Matthew Maher has extensive work experience in the medical device industry. Matthew started their career at Optim Inc. as a Development Engineer, where they coordinated design and development projects for medical endoscopy products. Matthew also provided production support and implemented solutions to streamline manufacturing. After six years at Optim Inc., Matthew joined LeMaitre Vascular as a Principal R&D Engineer. In this role, they designed and obtained regulatory approval for new medical devices aimed at treating peripheral vascular disease. Matthew also conducted research to improve product designs and production processes. Most recently, Matthew joined BlueRock Therapeutics as a Principal Engineer in 2018.

Matthew Maher holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from McGill University, which they completed from 1994 to 1998. Prior to that, they obtained a Superior Technician Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Institut Universitaire de Technologie Grenoble, France, between 1992 and 1994. In 2016, Matthew pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the Ted Rogers MBA program at Toronto Metropolitan University.
