Vyom Thakkar

Vyom Thakkar is a software engineer with diverse experience across multiple domains, currently working at BlueSemi since August 2022. Vyom has played a foundational role in developing backend systems, machine learning applications, and cloud infrastructure, notably architecting the server-side and ML infrastructure for a groundbreaking blood glucose monitoring device. Prior to this, Vyom served as a research assistant at the Coordinated Science Laboratory of the University of Illinois, where contributions included creating an NLP-powered web application for grading medical chart notes and implementing software to enhance instructors' capabilities in identifying student inquiries. Educationally, Vyom holds a Master of Science in Computer Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, complemented by early academic experience in the International Baccalaureate program at Dhirubhai Ambani International School. Previous internships included software development and consulting roles, showcasing a well-rounded skill set in coding, data analysis, and machine learning.
