Vanessa P. has a diverse work experience spanning from 2007 to 2022. In 2007, they worked as an Undergraduate Research at Centro Nacional de Pesquisa em Energia e Materiais, where they used molecular biology to characterize the biological role of scavenging systems in pathogenic bacteria. From 2012 to 2015, they worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Minnesota, where they led innovation/product development projects in an early phase of discovery and managed a bacterial transporter team. In 2017, Vanessa P. was the President of Campinas #1 English Toastmaster Club, and also worked as a Tech Transfer Project Manager at Bionovis. From 2019 to 2021, they worked at Lonza as a KPI Management Tech Transfer Project Lead and then as a Sr CMC Project Manager Cell Therapy at PPD. Most recently, in 2022, Vanessa P. began working at BlueSphere Bio as the Director Program Project Management, overseeing vendors for scheduling, budget & and contract management and providing solid experience with CMC & PD teams and external manufacturing for drug substances & drug products.
Vanessa P. attended Metrocamp from 2005 to 2008, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Sciences with a minor in Clinical Analysis. Vanessa then went on to attend Universidade Estadual de Campinas from 2009 to 2011, where they obtained a Master of Science in Genetic and Molecular Biology. Following this, they attended the same university from 2011 to 2015, earning a Doctor of Philosophy in Molecular Genetics and Molecular Biology. In 2021, Vanessa P. completed a program at Erickson Coaching International. Vanessa is currently enrolled in an Executive MBA program at Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management, which they are expected to complete in 2026.
