Zhe Lu has been working in the engineering industry since 2002. Zhe started as an Automation Engineer at the Singapore Institute of Manufacturing Technology in 2002. In 2007, they were a Research Associate (Team Leader) at the National University of Singapore, where they led a team of 4 engineers to design, fabricate and test a MEMS micro-force sensor. In 2008, they became a Senior Research Associate at the University of Toronto, where they developed image processing software in C++ and motion control for a micromanipulator and microscope stage of an automated Robotic Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (RICSI) system. In 2012, they were Manager - Platform Automation Engineering & Manufacturing at SQI Diagnostics, where they managed R&D, integration and troubleshooting of liquid handling robot, microplate washer and microarray scanner in automated multiplex autoimmune diagnostics microarray platforms. Since 2013, they have been with Bluewrist Inc. in various roles, including Chief Technology Officer, Director of Engineering, Engineering Manager, and Project Manager.
Zhe Lu's education history includes a Post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Toronto in 2008 in the field of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) from the National University of Singapore between 2002 and 2006 in the field of Control and Mechatronics, and a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) from the Harbin Institute of Technology between 1998 and 2002 in the field of Control Science and Engineering.
