David Byrd

David Byrd is a seasoned venture capital professional currently serving as a General Partner and Venture Partner at BlueYard Capital since September 2021. Previously, David held significant roles at Acequia Capital from July 2015 to October 2021, where responsibilities included being a Venture Partner and Principal, contributing to early investments in notable companies such as Pinterest and Square. David also worked at 1QBit as Software Development Lead, overseeing compiler development for machine learning ASICs, and held advisory and product lead roles. Additional experiences include serving as General Partner at Cambium Capital Partners, Product Manager at DigitalOcean, and CEO at Bowery. David holds a degree from New York University and completed earlier education at Bellarmine College Preparatory.
