Erik Dyrkoren

Founder at Blueye Robotics

Erik Dyrkoren has worked in a variety of roles in the maritime industry. In 2020, they became the Chief Executive Officer of Zeabuz, a spin-off from the leading research community on autonomous vessels at NTNU in Trondheim. From 2015 to 2020, they were the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Blueye Robotics, a company that develops underwater drones. In 2015, they became a Board Member of Connect Trøndelag, a nonprofit organization that helps entrepreneurs succeed. From 2013 to 2015, they were the General Manager and Chairman of the Board of Maritimt Forum Midt-Norge, a foundation that represents the entire maritime industry in Norway. From 2009 to 2012, they were the Programme Manager and Co-Founder and Board Member of Maritim21, a holistic maritime research and innovation strategy. From 2012 to 2009, they were the Project Manager and Co-Founder and Board Member of SARiNOR, a national collaboration project. From 2012 to 2010, they were the Chairman of the Board of Tårnet Barnehage, a kindergarten. From 2010 to 2002, they were the Secretary and Increment Payload Manager of MARUT and the European Space Agency, respectively.

Erik Dyrkoren has an extensive educational background. Erik obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in 2009, with a field of study in Technology Management (MTM). In 2020, they obtained a second M.B.A. from the National University of Singapore. Erik also obtained a Master's Degree from NTNU in 1998, with a field of study in Mechanical Engineering Design. In 1997, they obtained a Master of Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology, with a field of study in Environmentally Benign Engineering Design.
