The Opportunity:

Gemini Water Systems is seeking a dynamic, full-time Junior Procurement and Accounting Coordinator to join our multidisciplinary team at our Gainesville, Florida office. The ideal candidate will play a key role in developing procurement systems and supporting the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable process in the growing water and wastewater treatment industry. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the expansion of essential infrastructure and environmental solutions while working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Independently manage procurement activities such as sourcing, purchasing, and negotiating contracts with suppliers.

  • System and software management by leveraging the Company's new system and existing Excel files to streamline processes.

  • Supporting the Procurement Manager to review and approve vendor contracts, ensuring compliance with policies and standards.

  • Coordinate with internal departments to determine their purchasing needs and timelines.

  • Track orders, monitor deliveries, and ensure timely receipt of goods and services.

  • Handle procurement issues, resolve discrepancies, and manage vendor relationships.

  • Automate purchasing processes and streamline procurement procedures for efficiency.

  • Manage inventory and logistics by overseeing the organization, receiving, and packing of materials, including operating a forklift to ensure efficient handling and storage. On site forklift training available.

  • Maintain a strong commitment to safety by adhering to all protocols and contributing to a safe and secure work environment.

  • Manage and oversee responsibilities related to Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, ensuring timely processing and accurate record-keeping

Education, Skills and Qualifications:

  • Working towards a bachelor’s degree in business, finance, supply chain management, or a related field.

  • One (1) year experience in procurement or a related administrative field, ideally in a similar industry would be an added advantage.

  • Experience with QuickBooks Online is considered an asset, particularly in relation to the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes.

  • Comfortable performing physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs, as well as engaging in activities requiring manual dexterity and mobility.

  • Familiarity with the safe operation of power tools, as needed in support of procurement activities.

  • Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a strong focus on meeting deadlines and delivering results under pressure.

  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision as well as within a team environment.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to foster positive relationships with customers and suppliers, ensuring clear and effective interactions

  • Maintain strong attention to detail and accuracy to support precise documentation and seamless procurement processes.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (high proficiency in Excel) and ERP (will be an asset) systems.

  • Knowledge of procurement principles and financial regulations will be an asset.

  • Demonstrates a proven track record of adhering to safety protocols and maintaining a safe work environment.

  • Ability to travel and periods away from your normal place of work may be required.

  • Possession of a valid driver's license, access to a reliable vehicle, and a valid U.S. passport.
