Karen Barragan

Karen Barragan is currently serving as the Head of Marketing and Communications at Blumhouse Productions since January 2019. Prior to this, she was the Vice President of publicity for original series programming at Netflix from July 2012 to January 2019. Before her time at Netflix, Karen worked at Sony Pictures Television as the Vice President of Media & Talent Relations from March 2004 to September 2012. She began her career as a Director at mPRm Public Relations from September 2001 to March 2004 and as an Account Coordinator at BWR Public Relations from August 2000 to September 2001. Karen has a background in strategizing and executing publicity campaigns for various entertainment companies and clients. She holds degrees from California State University, Fullerton, and the University of Arizona.
