Derrick Menezes has extensive experience in the explosives and mining industry, currently serving as the SADC Senior Operation/Technical Manager at BME, a Member of the Omnia Group, since October 2014, with previous roles including Technical Manager and Country Manager. Prior to BME, Derrick held various positions at MAXAM from September 2007 to July 2014, including Country Manager and Project Manager, and worked as an Explosive Engineer at African Explosives Limited from July 1998 to August 2007. Earlier career experiences include roles at Detonator Technologies and AngloGold Ashanti, as well as experience as a Miner at Kloof Gold Mine. Derrick's educational background includes a degree in Blasting Engineering from the University of Pretoria.
