Mikko Osara has extensive work experience in various leadership roles in the cleantech, circular economy, and paper production industries. Mikko is currently the President & CEO of BMH Technology Oy, where they are responsible for driving growth and overseeing waste refining and material recovery projects. Prior to this, Mikko served as the Vice President and head of the Board and Paper Mills business unit at Valmet, where they successfully led the turnaround and achieved top-line growth for the business. Mikko also worked as the Director of Sales & Marketing at Vapo Oy, where they built a new customer interface organization and implemented a new pricing system. Mikko has held several positions at Metso, including Vice President of Paper Machines, Vice President of Sales, General Manager of Rebuilds, Vice President of Marketing, Senior Marketing Manager, Manager of Technology Development, and Development Manager. Mikko began their career at UPM as a Development Engineer in paper production. Overall, Mikko has a diverse background in sales, marketing, management, and engineering.
Mikko Osara attended Teknillinen korkeakoulu-Tekniska högskolan from 1993 to 1999, earning a M.Sc.(Eng) degree in Forest Products Technology. In addition, they have obtained a certification in HHJ (Hyväksytty hallituksen jäsen), but the month and year of obtaining this certification are not specified.
