Matt Morgan

Matt Morgan serves as an Honorary Professor for the Public Understanding of Medicine at the University of Surrey and has been an Honorary Visiting Professor and intensive care doctor at Cardiff University since 2009, specializing in a variety of critical care fields. Matt also holds positions as a Consultant in Intensive Care Medicine at Cardiff and Vale University Health Board since 2015 and as Lead Clinical Editor at BMJ since 2006, focusing on medical education and technology. Matt's academic interests include immunology, big data, and machine learning, supported by an ongoing role as Honorary Senior Research Fellow. Additionally, Matt is an author with two books published, reflecting on critical care experiences and innovative medical insights, and has served as an adjunct professor at Curtin University and a visiting professor at The University of Alberta. Educational qualifications include degrees in medicine and law from Cardiff University and the University of Bristol, along with advanced certifications in intensive care medicine.
