Theodora Bloom

Theodora Bloom is an accomplished executive editor with extensive experience in scientific publishing. Currently serving as Executive Editor at BMJ since June 2014, Theodora's prior roles include Trustee at NAM publications, where efforts focused on providing comprehensive information in the fight against AIDS, and Biology Editorial Director at Public Library of Science. With a notable tenure as Editorial Director and Founding Chief Editor of Genome Biology at BioMed Central, Theodora has also held significant positions at Elsevier Science Ltd and Current Biology Ltd. Early career highlights include Assistant Editor at Nature Magazine and a post-doctoral fellowship at Harvard Medical School. Theodora holds a PhD in Developmental Cell Biology and a BA in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge.
