BMW CCA San Diego Chapter
Seth Hanson is a Senior Software Engineer at Quantum Design, specializing in microscopy at the smallest scales since October 2020. In addition to this role, Seth serves as a Level 2 Coach for the National Interscholastic Cycling Association (NICA) since November 2017, guiding advanced youth cyclists. Seth has an extensive background in the tech industry, having held significant positions such as Senior Software Engineer at General Atomics, focusing on airborne infrared tracking and innovative technologies related to video compression. Previous experience includes roles at GoPro, Verance, Pixon Imaging, Ortiva Wireless, and DivX, contributing to advancements in video watermarking, adaptive delivery, and codec engineering. Seth also actively participates in the BMW CCA San Diego Chapter as a Driving Instructor and Events Chair, overseeing driving schools and providing in-car instruction at various road courses. Seth holds a BS in Physics from Harvey Mudd College.
