Rajeev Sambyal

Rajeev Sambyal is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in digital assets and advanced solutions, currently serving as Managing Director and Head of the Digital Assets Platform at BNY Mellon since August 2019. At BNY Mellon, Rajeev accelerates the integration of blockchain, artificial intelligence, and machine learning to drive core digitization efforts and innovate new products and services, overseeing a diverse team of professionals across multiple regions. Prior to this role, Rajeev held various leadership positions at State Street from August 2005 to July 2019, including Managing Director and Head of Engineering, where mentorship and open innovation were key focuses in developing AI and analytics solutions. Earlier career experience includes roles at Syntel, where high-quality project execution was emphasized, and Financial Technologies India Ltd, where strategic solutions for the Indian financial markets were developed. Rajeev holds a Master of Science in Technology Management from Columbia University and a Masters in Information Technology, specializing in Software Development, from Symbiosis Centre For Information Technology.
