John Tansing

John Tansing is an experienced IT professional currently serving as the Manager of Desktop Services for APAC at Boart Longyear since February 2005, overseeing infrastructure teams across Australia, China, Indonesia, and Laos to ensure business continuity. Tansing has extensive expertise in deploying and maintaining regional IT systems, including WAN/VPN connections, Cisco Unified Call Manager, Windows Server, and VMware clusters, while also mentoring junior staff. Previously, Tansing held the position of Network Administrator, managing similar systems for the APAC region, and served as a Systems Administrator at lastminute.com and a Mechanical Engineer at Connell Wagner, where contributions included designing HVAC systems for various commercial buildings. Tansing holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Adelaide.
