Scott Croft has over 30 years of work experience in various roles and industries. Scott began their career in the United States Air Force and NY Air National Guard, serving as a Staff Sergeant for ten years. Following their military service, Croft worked at the New York Convention & Visitors Bureau as a Senior Staff Assistant before transitioning to Tierney & Company, where they served as an Account Executive for San Juan Puerto Rico CVB and Inter-Continental Hotels. Scott then joined Peter Martin Associates as a Senior Account Executive for the Jamaica Tourist Board. Croft then worked at Laura Davidson Public Relations as an Account Supervisor for American Classic Voyages and Accor North America. After that, they were employed by MariTEL as a Manager of Public Relations. Currently, Croft serves as the Vice President of Public Affairs at the Boat Owners Association of The United States (BoatUS), where they are responsible for managing external publicity and media relations for the organization and its various departments.

Scott Croft attended El Toro High School and Fayetteville Manlius High School, but no specific degree or field of study is provided for these institutions. After high school, they attended SUNY Canton from 1987 to 1988, where they earned an Associate of Arts degree in Liberal Arts. Scott then transferred to the State University of New York College at Potsdam, where they obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in English and Communications from 1988 to 1991.
