Kim K. has a long and varied work experience. Kim began their career as an Athletic Communications Student Worker at Virginia Tech in 2011. In 2014, they interned at CBS Radio. In 2015, they held two positions, Marketing Coordinator at The Miller Group VA and Marketing Intern at Advanced Logic Industries. From 2016 to 2019, they held the role of Digital Editor at Boats Group, then moved on to the roles of Senior Content Manager and Director of Content Marketing at the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA). Most recently, in 2021, they became the Head of Brand Strategy and Communications and Head of Content Marketing at Boatsetter. In their role as Head of Content Marketing, they oversee the integrated, multi-channel content strategy, creation, execution and distribution for both the supply and demand segments of the marketplace. Kim leads all consumer PR, corporate and strategic communications, and brand-storytelling, and works cross-functionally across Marketing, Operations, and Product, responsible for content across all key touch-points. Kim has been recognized for their work, having been named one of Boating Industry's 2021 Top 40 Under 40.
Kim K. attended Virginia Tech from 2011 to 2015, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts and a Minor in Professional Writing, studying Communication and Media Studies. In 2014, they also took part in the Semester In Washington Program at Georgetown University, focusing on Digital Communication and Media/Multimedia.
