Katie Bird

Katie Bird is an accomplished Design Engineer II at Bobcat Company with extensive experience in research and development as well as manufacturing engineering. Since January 2017, Katie has co-led the launch of a new excavator cab assembly line, designed assembly tools and processes, and managed projects to enhance assembly efficiency. Proficient in Creo, Katie has developed and analyzed manufacturing processes, improved engineering change notice management, and collaborated closely with design engineers to improve manufacturability. Prior experience includes a Design Engineering Intern position at Cannon Equipment and earlier internships at Bobcat Company, where Katie contributed to various engineering projects and improvements. Katie holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from North Dakota State University and an Associate of Science degree from Bismarck State College.
