Holly Hays

Holly Hays is an experienced journalist currently serving as a pop culture reporter for The Indianapolis Star since June 2016, where coverage focuses on concerts, entertainment, and the impact of pop culture on Hoosiers' lives. Previously, Hays held various positions at IndyStar, including newsroom development director, interim editor, and social services reporter, showcasing expertise in community engagement, story development, and issues affecting families. Hays's early career included leadership roles with the Arbutus Yearbook and Indiana Daily Student, along with internships in marketing and editorial positions. Hays holds a Master of Arts in Philanthropic Studies and graduate certificates in Fund Raising Management and Nonprofit Management, in addition to a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Spanish Linguistics from Indiana University Bloomington.
