Melissa Gagnier-Solis started their work experience as a Water Sanitation Volunteer at Peace Corps from September 2005 to December 2006. Melissa then worked as a Civil Engineer at Black & Veatch from February 2007 to February 2011. Following this, they joined Painful Pleasures as the Chief Operating Officer from March 2011 to January 2020. Currently, Melissa holds the position of President & Chief Operating Officer at Body Art Alliance, starting from January 2020.

Melissa Gagnier-Solis received their BSE and MSE degrees in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Michigan from 2000 to 2005. Melissa continued their education at the University of Maryland from 2007 to 2009, earning an MSE degree in Program Management Engineering.
