Liz Burton-Hughes has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Liz started their career in 2007 as a Face Painter for Jeremy and Maria Children's Entertainment and remained with the company until 2014. During this time, they also freelanced for Covered Magazine as a Writer, focusing on tailoring content to the target audience. In 2014, Liz became a Freelance Writer for Tech Reviewer and gained insights into content creation trends. Later that year, they joined High Speed Training Ltd as a Learning Designer, where they played a key role in creating e-Learning courses for various industries. Liz's position at High Speed Training lasted until 2023. In 2017, Liz joined Zelda Universe as a Columns Writer and gradually moved up to become the Assistant Columns Editor, overseeing the work of the columns team and assisting with leadership responsibilities. Currently, Liz holds the position of Immersive Learning Designer at the VR Platform for Soft Skills Training called Bodyswaps®.
Liz Burton-Hughes obtained their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in English and Creative Writing from Leeds Trinity University, which they pursued from 2011 to 2014. In addition to their formal education, Liz has also obtained several certifications. These include "Brain-Based Elearning Design" from LinkedIn in August 2022, "The Top 10 Project Management Mistakes—and How to Avoid Them" from LinkedIn in June 2022, "Coaching and Mentoring" from High Speed Training in February 2022, "Editing Digital Content" from the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading (CIEP) in April 2021, and "Defining and Achieving Professional Goals" from LinkedIn in September 2019.
