Claudia Simon

Claudia Simon is an experienced professional in the field of therapeutic virus development, currently serving as the Head of Lab at Boehringer Ingelheim since July 2021. Prior to this role, Claudia was the Head of Laboratory at Universitätsklinikum Tübingen from July 2015 to June 2021, focusing on oncogene interactions of papillomavirus and the production and characterization of virus-like particles. Claudia's early career includes a Postdoctoral position at Martin-Luther-Universität Halle-Wittenberg, where work centered on N-Bar proteins and polyomaviral capsid proteins, and a Research Assistant role at probiodrug AG. Claudia earned a Dr. rer. nat in Biochemistry from The Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg and a Diplom in Biochemistry from the same institution, while also furthering education at the University of California, Berkeley, and The University of Queensland.
