Dr. Lukas Wingen

Dr. Lukas Wingen is a Senior Process Manager at Boehringer Ingelheim, specializing in the chemical production of active pharmaceutical ingredients and the transfer and validation of new chemical entities to production scale since April 2021. Prior to this role, Dr. Wingen held positions as Process Manager and PhD Student at the Kekulé Institute of Organic Chemistry, focusing on the total synthesis of natural products from August 2017 to March 2021, and served as a Scientific Assistant, providing tutoring and support to students. Dr. Wingen also worked as a Research Assistant at the Pharmaceutical Institute of Bonn, engaging in the synthesis and analysis of biologically active compounds from October 2014 to July 2017. Additional experience includes an internship in research and development at Die Grünenthal Gruppe in 2017 and a background as a Paramedic with the Deutsches Rotes Kreuz Rettungsdienst from 2010 to 2011. Dr. Wingen earned a PhD in Organic Chemistry from the University of Bonn in April 2021, having also completed a Master of Science in Chemistry and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry at the same institution.
