Lisa Michelson

Lisa Michelson has a diverse work experience in the field of information technology. Lisa started their career in 1993 as an intern at Travelers Insurance, where they gained initial exposure to the industry. Lisa then moved on to work at IBM Global Services as an IT Specialist, contributing to the development and maintenance of the International Customer Financing System. Lisa joined Gen Re in 1999 as a Technical Lead and Java Developer, where they designed and implemented an original Model View Controller architecture for the FacWorld web application.

In 2003, Lisa joined Boehringer Ingelheim, where they held various roles over the years. As a Senior Principal Software Engineer, they developed web applications using WebLogic and Portal technologies. Lisa later became a Manager, leading a web development group responsible for internal and external web applications and managing the development lifecycle. Lisa then took on the role of System Lead, overseeing the technical aspects of the BI employee intranet and leading its migration to SharePoint 2013. In their most recent role, they served as an Associate Director and Project Manager, leading a team to transition the employee intranet from SharePoint 2013 to SharePoint Online, while also acting as a Scrum Master for the agile project.

Lisa Michelson earned a BSE degree in Computer Science from the University of Connecticut, where they attended from 1990 to 1994. Prior to that, they graduated from Joel Barlow High School in 1990. Lisa then pursued an MBA in Management Information Systems at Sacred Heart University from 1997 to 2000.
