Samantha Wofford

Samantha Wofford is a Scientist IV specializing in Non-infectious Diseases at Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health since May 2021, focusing on exploratory research for disease targets in companion and livestock animals. Previously, Samantha served as a Scientist III within the same company, concentrating on Fibrotic Diseases. Prior to this, Samantha was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Georgia, where research aimed to investigate neutrophils' role in Cystic Fibrosis. Samantha also held the position of Graduate Teaching Assistant, overseeing the Introductory Biology Laboratory course, and completed a PhD in Infectious Diseases at the University of Georgia, with research on metal homeostasis and co-enzyme B12 synthesis in Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Samantha earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Allegheny College.
