Tina Zimmermann

Tina Zimmermann has a diverse range of work experience. Tina began their career as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Texas A&M University in 2010 and later served as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Queensland, Brisbane, Australia in 2011. In 2012, they worked as a Graduate Research Associate at the Robert Koch Institute. Tina then pursued their PhD and worked as a PhD student at the University Medicine of the Johannes Gutenberg-University Mainz from 2013 to 2017. Following this, they joined AbbVie as a Postdoctoral Research Scientist from 2017 to 2018. Currently, they are working at Boehringer Ingelheim, initially as a Scientist from 2018 to 2020, and then as a Principal Scientist/Laboratory Head starting from July 2020.

Tina Zimmermann obtained their Diplom degree in Biochemistry from Freie Universität Berlin in 2013. Subsequently, they pursued their doctoral studies in Biology at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, where they obtained their Dr. rer. nat. degree in 2017.
