Kelly Sparks

Kelly Sparks has over 20 years of work experience in the field of cybersecurity. Kelly is currently working as a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer at Boeing Intelligence & Analytics since April 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Cybersecurity Subject Matter Expert at AM Pierce & Associates, Inc. from January 2022 to March 2023.

Before joining AM Pierce & Associates, Inc., Kelly served as a Professor at Defense Acquisition University from November 2019 to January 2022. Kelly was responsible for teaching cybersecurity-related courses.

Kelly also has significant experience working at the Missile Defense Agency, where they held the position of Information System Security Manager from June 2011 to November 2019. In this role, they led the cybersecurity program and provided oversight for implementing the Risk Management Framework (RMF). Kelly also managed a team of cybersecurity professionals and was responsible for network defense and continuous monitoring of information systems.

Earlier in their career, Kelly worked at Dynetics, Inc. as a Sr. Principle Cyber Security Analyst. Kelly held multiple positions during their nine-year tenure and played a key role in managing Information Assurance (IA), Computer Network Defense, and Cyber Security projects. Kelly also led the certification and accreditation (CA) contractor for the BMDS Defense Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP) effort.

Kelly Sparks has a Master of Science degree in Network Security from Capitol Technology University. Kelly attended the university from 2005 to 2007. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Park University in 1999. Kelly also holds several additional certifications, including a CompTIA CySA+ ce certification obtained in December 2019, a Level III Acquisition Professional, Information Technology certification from the Defense Acquisition University obtained in August 2014, and a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from (ISC)² obtained in June 2004.
