David Zwegers

David Zwegers serves as the Executive Director of Global Safety Strategy at Boeing since April 2021, where responsibilities include leading the development and integration of aviation ecosystem safety strategies and engaging with various internal and external stakeholders. Prior to this role, David worked as the Regional Safety Director for Airbus from May 2013 to March 2021, acting as the senior representative in the Latin America and Caribbean Region for safety matters involving government agencies and the aviation industry. David's earlier experience includes managing the Safety Management System at JetBlue Airways and directing the aviation safety program at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. David holds a Master’s Degree in Aviation Safety and Aviation Operations and a Bachelor’s Degree in Aeronautical Science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, along with an Associate’s Degree in Professional Pilot Technology from St. Petersburg College.
