Komol Patel

Komol Patel is a highly skilled aerospace engineer with extensive experience in manufacturing and educational outreach within the aerospace sector. Currently serving as a SLS Manufacturing Engineer at Boeing since July 2024, previous roles include significant contributions to The Illinois Space Society as an Educational Outreach Senior Advisor, where Komol developed award-winning educational content for thousands of students, and as a NASA RASC-AL Engineer focusing on various aspects of space mission design. With a solid educational foundation, holding both a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, Komol has hands-on experience through internships and co-op positions at prominent organizations, including Boeing and Collins Aerospace, enhancing both technical and leadership skills in aerospace applications.
