Assistant Medical Director, Boeing EMS

Lance S. serves as a Professor of Emergency Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina, where responsibilities include clinical management, teaching, and administration in a Level 1 Trauma Center. In addition, Lance holds roles such as Medical Director of the Clinical Forensics Program, overseeing care for sexual assault victims, and Director of the Center for Health Professional Training and Emergency Response (CHPTER). As the Assistant Medical Director of Boeing EMS, Lance contributes to emergency medical services, and also directs educational programs for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Previous positions include Chief of the Emergency Medicine Section, Fellowship Director for the South Carolina College of Emergency Physicians, and a Visiting Fellow at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Lance's educational background includes an MD from UNC School of Medicine, residency training in Emergency Medicine, and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from the University of Notre Dame.
