Maria Cardwell is an accomplished engineering executive with extensive experience in the aerospace industry. Currently serving as Executive Director and Chief Engineer at Boeing, Maria has held significant roles including Senior Director of Vehicle Engineering at Northrop Grumman and Executive Vice President of Quality and Airworthiness at Virgin Galactic. Prior positions include Stress Analysis Manager for Advanced Development Programs and Chief Engineer for Structures Safety & Airworthiness at Lockheed Martin, as well as Senior Leader and Chief Engineer at Boeing overseeing stress analysis and metals technology. Maria holds a Bachelor's Degree in Metallurgical and Material Science Engineering from The University of Texas at El Paso and is pursuing a Master's Degree in Technical Management from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, pending capstone completion.
