William Nichols is currently the Structures Engineering Manager leading Liaison Stress Engineering for the 787 Dreamliner at Boeing South Carolina. Formerly, they served as a Lead Structural Analysis Engineer, focusing on various aspects of the 787 Dreamliner, including partner oversight and aft body sustaining engineering. Prior to their role at Boeing, William managed a student team during the AIAA Design/Build/Fly competition at the University of Tennessee, where they concentrated on propulsion and other aircraft systems. Additionally, they completed an aircraft maintenance engineering co-op at UPS Airlines, where they gained experience with multiple aircraft systems. William holds a degree from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville, completed in 2011.
