Carlos Alonso is an experienced geologist currently serving as the Resource Studies Section Chief at the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) since January 2007. Previously, Carlos held roles as a Supervisory Geologist and Geologist at BOEM, where responsibilities included geological and geophysical evaluations to determine bid adequacy for fair market value assessments during Gulf of Mexico Lease Sales. Prior to joining BOEM, Carlos worked as a Physical Scientist at Navoceano from 2003 to 2007. Carlos earned a degree in Geology from the University of New Orleans, completing studies from 1992 to 1998.
