Tracey Moriarty

Tracey Moriarty is an experienced communications professional currently serving as the Chief of the Office of Communications at the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management since August 2012, where responsibilities include acting as the national spokesperson and overseeing media relations. Prior roles at BOEM include Deputy Chief and Media Relations Manager, and Public Affairs Specialist, focusing on reputation management and renewable energy communication strategies. Tracey also served as the Director of Strategic Communication and Outreach for the United States Navy, where significant contributions included the development of the first Navy-wide energy strategic communication plan. Earlier experience includes project management at Booz Allen Hamilton and environmental policy analysis at BMT Designers and Planners. Tracey holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Science/Marine Affairs from the University of Virginia and a Bachelor’s degree in History from Roanoke College.
