Elaine Howard

Dr. Elaine Howard is dedicated to serving and supporting the “Human” in her work as the Chief Human Resources Officer. Elaine received her doctorate in Educational Leadership in 2016 from Lamar University and has served in fast-growth districts in the San Antonio and Austin areas with enrollments exceeding 22,000 students.

She is passionate about building systems and tools to make the work of others easier. She also seeks to identify the “hidden” talents of those she serves and strives to remove obstacles so that those talents are utilized and appreciated. Elaine believes one should enjoy the work they do, respect and value those they work with and believe in “why” they do it.

Fun fact, she considers herself a tourist turned accidental resident in the educational community. As a little girl she dreamed of becoming a mortician, but eventually, she fell in love with all things about “school” and followed the path of her heart to serve kids and the adults who educate them.
