Elizabeth Sarah Johannesen

Elizabeth is an Associate who concentrates her practice on white collar defense and government investigations.

Prior to joining Bohrer PLLC, Elizabeth worked as a prosecutor at the Bronx District Attorney’s Office, where she handled a large caseload of felony and misdemeanor cases. During her tenure, she presented felony matters to the grand jury, conducted hearings, cross examined defendants, and negotiated hundreds of plea deals.

Elizabeth graduated law school with several distinctions, including: Best Cross Examination Award, Queen’s District Attorney’s Office Mock Trial Champion Award, and the Judge Edward Hart Memorial Scholarship for Excellence in Trial Advocacy. She was also selected to be a member of the Hofstra Law Review. While in law school, Elizabeth interned for the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York, and the New York County District Attorney’s Office. During her final two years of law school, Elizabeth was selected to be a member of the Hofstra Law Criminal Justice Clinic, where she represented indigent defendants in criminal proceedings.
