Lindsay Karas Stencel is a Partner in the New Ventures Practice Group at Thompson Hine LLP, where Lindsay specializes in representing venture capital funds, VC investors, and start-up companies throughout their lifecycle. In addition, Lindsay co-chairs the Fund Formation subgroup, providing expertise in various fund structures. As a co-founder of BOLDER Inc., a nonprofit committed to wellness initiatives for startups and small businesses, and W Fund, which focuses on increasing investment in women-led companies, Lindsay demonstrates a strong commitment to supporting entrepreneurship. Lindsay also serves as an Adjunct Professor at The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, teaching courses in client development, venture capital, and deal-making. Previously, Lindsay held leadership roles at Launch NY and NCT Ventures, fostering engagement with emerging companies and guiding investment opportunities. Lindsay holds a Juris Doctor degree and an MBA from The Ohio State University and a degree in Political Science from Canisius University.

With an acute focus on women, diverse, and veteran founders in low-to-moderate socioeconomic areas, we aim to provide resources and tools to founders to focus on themselves and their well-being so that they can focus on growing their businesses and maximizing returns for their investors. BOLDER, Inc. is partnered with BOLD Ventures, a regionally-focused qualifying venture capital fund, to provide non-dilutive capital resources to high growth startups with the goal of focusing on teams first to dramatically improve investor returns.
