Robert Harrison

Robert Harrison has a diverse work experience in the medical and scientific fields. Robert currently holds the position of Senior Medical Writer at BOLDSCIENCE since 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Ashfield MedComms as a Senior Medical Writer from 2018 to 2022 and as a Medical Writer from 2019 to 2022. Robert also participated in their Associate medical writer program from 2018 to 2019, which involved formal training and placements in different therapy areas.

Before joining Ashfield MedComms, Robert was a PhD Researcher at The University of Manchester from 2014 to 2018. Their research focused on studying the role of impaired inflammation in non-healing chronic wounds in diabetic patients. Robert was actively involved in science communication through their role as a student lead for the CDT's public engagement and outreach program.

In 2015, Robert participated in the Biotechnology Young Entrepreneurs Scheme Competition as part of the CDT team. Robert served as the finance director, developing leadership abilities and understanding in patent law and business finance. Robert contributed to the success of the project by producing financial forecasts and company valuations.

In 2012, Robert was a member of the University of Manchester team in the International Genetically Engineered Machine (iGEM) Competition. Robert served as the head of the human practices team and produced an impact analysis report on the synthetic alternative to palm oil's impact on global economics and ecosystems.

Robert Harrison completed their education at The University of Manchester. Robert earned a Bachelor's degree in Developmental Biology, which they pursued from 2011 to 2014. Subsequently, Robert pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Regenerative Medicine from 2014 to 2018 at the same institution.
