Göran Kördel

Göran Kördel has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Göran has held various leadership roles in different companies, demonstrating their expertise in IT management, leadership, strategy, and operational excellence.

Göran Kördel began their career in 1983 as a Business Controller at RIFA and later served as a Controller at Mölnlycke Toiletries AB. In 1991, they joined Ericsson Components AB as a Business Controller before moving on to Ericsson Radio Systems AB, where they held multiple positions, including Vice President Finance and Operational Development and Director of Hardware Services.

In 2001, Kördel joined Ericsson AB as the Vice President of the Global Expertise Center Stockholm and later became the Director of Group IT. During their time at Ericsson, they played a vital role in implementing significant changes such as outsourcing, cost reduction, and restructuring of IT governance. Additionally, they led the re-outsourcing of the global application service area and was responsible for Ericsson Group IT Demand Management.

Kördel continued their career at Sandvik, holding the position of CIO and Vice President, where they were globally responsible for all IT initiatives within the organization. Göran successfully established a unified and global IT organization, ensuring efficient IT delivery and setting new governance.

In 2013, Kördel joined Nordwise Management AB as the CEO and Senior Advisor. In this role, they provided consultancy services in leadership, strategy, operational excellence, outsourcing, and IT management to various clients, including Interim Management International AB, 3gamma Sverige AB, and ICA Gruppen AB.

In 2014, Kördel became the CIO of Boliden, where they continued to contribute their expertise in IT management. Göran currently serves as a Board Member at Polar Light Technologies AB and an Advisory Board Member at Anderson MacGyver.

Throughout their career, Göran Kördel has consistently demonstrated their strong leadership skills and deep understanding of IT management and strategy. Göran has a breadth of experience across various industries, making him a valuable asset to any organization.

Göran Kördel obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Industrial Management and Engineering from Linköping University, where they studied from 1979 to 1983. Göran also studied Psychology at Stockholm University from 1984 to 1985. In addition to their educational background, Göran Kördel has obtained certifications as a Certified Board Member from StyrelseAkademien and as a Certified Business Angel from Stockholms Affärsänglar - STOAF in 2021.
