Mika Kinney has a diverse work experience. They started their career in 2015 as a Mechanical Research Intern at Tavis Corporation, where they assisted engineers in product testing and CAD drafting. They then worked as an Undergraduate Student Researcher at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where they developed and tested new concrete mixtures for various applications and mentored a concrete canoe team.
In 2016, Kinney joined Bolton & Menk, Inc. as an Engineering Intern, where they coordinated construction activities and performed field engineering for residential road rehabilitation projects. They then returned to Bolton & Menk, Inc. as a Design Engineer in 2018 and 2020, where they coordinated construction activities, developed AutoCAD designs, and prepared plans and cost estimates for municipal projects.
From 2019 to 2020, Kinney worked as a Staff Engineer at Jensen Design & Survey, Inc., where they performed civil engineering design and ensured compliance with jurisdictional requirements for permitting.
In 2021, Kinney became the Chief Executive Officer of Joy to the Food, and in 2022, they started working as a Virtual Assistant at Live Eat Learn.
Throughout their career, Kinney has also developed a passion for food photography and recipe development.
Mika Kinney completed a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute from 2013 to 2017.
