Sam Whyte

Sam Whyte is a communications professional with extensive experience in the sports industry, currently serving as the Interim Head of Communications at Bolton Wanderers Football Club since April 2023. Prior to this role, Sam held positions including Social Media and Digital Content Manager at Bolton Wanderers and Media Officer at Wigan Athletic F.C. from March 2021 to April 2023. Earlier career highlights include serving as Senior Media & Communications Officer and Media & Marketing Officer at Widnes Vikings between August 2016 and April 2021, and working as a Digital Content Assistant at Betfred for a brief period in 2016. Sam holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sports Journalism from the University of Chester, obtained from 2013 to 2016, and completed A-Levels in Psychology, Physical Education, and English Language at St John Rigby College from 2010 to 2012, following GCSEs at St Edmund Arrowsmith High School.
