James Jensen

James Jensen has a diverse work experience in the field of data engineering and analytics. James is currently working at Bombas as a Senior Data Engineer since September 2022, after starting as a Data Engineer in June 2020. Prior to that, they served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Chicago, where they specialized in Databases for Public Policy from March 2020 to June 2020. James also worked as a Data Engineer at the Cook County State's Attorney's Office from December 2019 to June 2020. Additionally, James has experience as an Open Data Summer Fellow at the City of New York Mayor's Office of Data Analytics from June 2019 to August 2019. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Data Analyst at the Institute of Politics at the University of Chicago from December 2018 to June 2019. James also has experience in the non-profit sector, having held roles such as Product Analyst at DoSomething.org from March 2017 to August 2018 and Member Experience Associate from October 2015 to March 2017. James began their career as a Monitoring and Evaluation Associate at the Alterna Center for Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship from January 2015 to August 2015.

James Jensen completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Political Science at Middlebury College. James also attended Middlebury Language Schools, where they studied Spanish Language and Literature. Afterward, they pursued a Master of Science degree in the Intersection of Computer Science and Policy Analysis at the Harris School of Public Policy at the University of Chicago from 2018 to 2020.
