Kristen Cuenca

Kristen Cuenca, MSN, RN, NPD-BC has extensive work experience in various roles and industries.

Kristen currently works as an RN Clinical Quality Lead for the Medical Practice Group at Bon Secours Mercy Health.

Prior to this, Kristen served as the Executive Director of Professional Development at Fellowship Community, where they oversaw and coordinated professional development activities and programs for all staff levels. Kristen also managed project implementation for new software modules and staff educational programs. Additionally, they held the role of Director of Clinical IT/Nurse Specialist, acting as a liaison between IT and nursing staff to facilitate the implementation and usage of electronic medical records.

Kristen also has experience as the Clinical Director at WorldMed Assist, where they provided on-site quality evaluation of international hospitals and coordinated care for patients from abroad. Kristen analyzed insurance claims to provide cost comparisons for travel and care arrangements. Before that, they worked as a Nurse Case Manager at WorldMed Assist.

Kristen had a period of self-employment as an Expert Witness and Legal Nurse Consultant, utilizing their expertise in nursing to provide consulting services.

Earlier in their career, Kristen worked as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Maternal Newborn Nursing at Mercy Hospital in Miami.

Kristen Cuenca, MSN, RN, NPD-BC, obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania in 1992. Kristen then went on to earn their Master of Science in Nursing from Barry University in 1998, specializing in Nursing. Kristen also holds a certification in Nursing Professional Development (RN-BC) from the American Nurses Association, which they obtained in 2021.
