Mike G.

Mike G. has a strong work experience background in the field of information security and technology. Mike started their career in 1992 as an Information Systems Manager at Microprose, a video game design company. Mike then moved to Bon Secours Health System in 1995 as a Manager of Network Services, where they managed the corporate technology infrastructure and application support services. In 1999, they joined Edison Mission Energy as an Enterprise Applications Manager, overseeing enterprise assets and power generation systems. Mike returned to Bon Secours Health System in 2002, taking on various roles including Project Manager for ERP implementation and Director of Information Services for Bon Secours Kentucky. In 2015, they were promoted to Enterprise Director of Information Security for the nationally recognized health system. Currently, since 2018, Mike serves as the Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer for Bon Secours Mercy Health, leading the merger of cybersecurity functions and developing security processes for digital transformation initiatives.

Mike G. earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from the University of Baltimore in 1998. Mike later pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business, completing the program in 2015. In addition to their degrees, Mike G. obtained multiple certifications, including the HealthCare Information Security and Privacy Practitioner (HCISPP) certification from (ISC)² in 2016, the Certified Healthcare CIO (CHCIO) certification from CHIME in 2011, and the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in 2004.
