Nicole has held various leadership positions in different organizations, including Bon Secours Mercy Health and Mercy Health. In their roles, they have been responsible for the strategic design and execution of health and welfare benefits, as well as well-being programs. Nicole has also worked collaboratively with external partners and internal leaders to manage the total cost of care and improve the health of employees. Nicole Martel has been instrumental in positioning their organizations as employers of choice through their benefits, programs, and well-being culture. Prior to their roles in the healthcare industry, they worked as a Manager of Health and Wellness Management at Advocate Health Care.

Nicole Martel earned a Bachelor's degree in Community Health from Northern Illinois University from 1990 to 1994. Nicole then pursued a Master of Science in Public Health at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 1995 to 1997.
